Implementing SAFe® offers attendees the broadest level of insight into each layer of a SAFe implementation. This course and resulting certification will help you understand the roles of each person in a SAFe organization and then plan and guide a SAFe transformation. It’s also the first step toward becoming a certified SAFe Practice Consultant.

You’ll learn how to identify value streams, launch agile release trains, optimize flow, and apply OKRs to Strategic Themes that define the targeted outcomes for the SAFe transformation. You’ll also practice the principles of Agile product management and product delivery. Implementing SAFe® (SPC Certification) Training FAQs

All stakeholders in a Lean-Agile transformation are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC) 6.0 certification exam and practice as a SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC):

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product, or project management
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile
  • One or more relevant Agile certifications

  • Professional Services Consultants
  • Internal Change Agents, Lean-Agile Center for Excellence (LACE) participants, Agile Working Groups
  • Business and Technology Executives, Leaders, Managers, and Directors
  • Portfolio Managers and Fiduciaries, Project/Program Management Office (PMO) personnel
  • Development, QA, and IT Managers
  • Program and Project Managers
  • Product and Product Line Managers
  • Process Leads and Lifecycle Governance personnel

Learners can access their learning plans and exams after the instructor has marked their attendance about halfway through their class. The steps are as follows:

  • Login to the SAFe Community. If you do not remember your password, click the "Forgot Password" link to receive a reset email.
  • Select Learn > My Learning from the tabs.
  • Select "In Progress"
  • Select the class that you are looking for. You may have multiple In Progress.
  • The Exam is located at the bottom of the Learning Plan. You are required to complete all required items marked with red asterisks* before you can take the exam.

A set of organization and workflow patterns that are intended to guide you in scaling lean and agile practices.

Yes! You can bring this course to your facility or train your team virtual in a private training event.

First-time attendees of SAFe courses get a 1-year Scaled Agile membership with course attendance. For attendees taking their second course or more, membership will not be extended as a result of taking another course. Once your membership expires, you will have a few options to renew your membership to maintain your active certifications. You can check out those options at the SAFe Membership FAQ.
