Accessible Customer Service Plan for Learning Tree International – Canada

We are also committed to providing individuals with disabilities the same opportunity to access our goods and services and allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same place and in a similar way as other members of the public.

PROVIDING GOODS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

The Company is committed to excellence in serving all customers including individuals with disabilities and we will carry out our functions and responsibilities in the following areas:

Communication
We will communicate with individuals with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. The Company will offer to communicate with individuals e-mail or in person if telephone communication is not suitable for the person's communication needs. The Company will also provide publications in alternative formats, upon request, dependent upon document specifications.

Assisted Devices
The Company recognizes that some customers with disabilities use assistive devices in order to access or benefit from the Company's services. The Company will use its best efforts to accommodate all assistive devices. However, if necessary, the Company will use alternate methods to provide service to customers with disabilities in a manner that takes their disability into consideration.

Telephone Services
If telephone communication is not suitable to the needs of the disabled individual, we will offer to communicate with customers by e-mail. For any disabled persons attempting to access our services, we individualize accommodation as required. As technology continues to change and improve, we will provide the best solution available at that time.

Billing
If telephone communication is not suitable to the needs of the disabled individual, we will offer to communicate with customers by e-mail. SERVICE ANIMALS AND SUPPORT PERSONS

We welcome individuals with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public.

We also welcome individuals who are accompanied by a support person. Any person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to enter the Company's premises with his or her support person. Fees will not be charged for support persons.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY DISRUPTION

Should a temporary disruption occur we will notify individuals promptly. This notice will be clearly posted and will include information about the reason for the disruption, the anticipated duration and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.

In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for those with disabilities, we will provide prompt notification by way of:

  • Telephone, e-mail, poster on the front door and in reception.
  • E-mail will be sent to staff so they can communicate to those affected.

TRAINING FOR STAFF & OTHERS

Training will be provided to all Company employees, agents and/or contractors who deal with the public that act on behalf of the Company.

As reflected in Ontario Regulation 429/07, regardless of the format, training will cover the following:

  • An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the customer service standard
  • Our plan related to the customer service standard
  • Video "Service-Ability: Transforming Ontario's Customer"
  • How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities
  • How to interact with people with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person
  • What to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing our services
  • Staff will also be trained when changes are made to the plan

Training will also be provided to new employees, agents and/or contractors who deal with the public or act on our behalf during orientation. Revised training will be provided in the event of changes to legislation, procedures and/or practices. The Company will keep a record of training that includes the dates training was provided and the number of employees who attended the training.

FEEDBACK PROCESS

The Company's ultimate goal is to meet and exceed customer expectations while servicing customers with disabilities. Comments on our services regarding how well those expectations are being met are welcome and appreciated. All feedback will be directed to the Administration & Customer Service Manager. Those offering feedback can expect to hear back from our firm within ten [10] business days. The Company will endeavour to provide a response in a format accessible to the customer.

Learning Tree International is committed to preserving the privacy of those who inquire, purchase or enroll in our programs or visit this website. This document, as our official Privacy Policy, will outline how we gather and utilize various sources of information obtained by Learning Tree.

Learning Tree considers your Information confidential and does not sell it to others. However, there are limited circumstances that require us to share it with others.

  • Agents and Service Providers: We sometimes employ or contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as supporting our systems infrastructure, providing recruiting services, and supporting our call centers. These parties are under a legal obligation to only use your information for purposes related to the services they provide.
  • Business Transfers: If Learning Tree or one of its business units is sold or its assets is/are acquired, Information relevant to the operation sold could be one of the transferred assets.

Learning Tree does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from minors under age 18 without appropriate consent from the minor and in some circumstances their parent/guardian.

If you are located outside of the United States, please note that this site is hosted on our computer servers in the United States.
