Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Vice-President of Public Sales, the Government Accounts Manager develops Federal, Provincial and Municipal business by gaining intelligence on pending training contracts, identifying and responding to RFPs, and ensuring Learning Tree's inclusion on standing offers. The incumbent will create and develop first class presentations to promote & sell Learning Tree courses, programs and services, thereby positioning Learning Tree as a solid government training partner.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  1. A post-secondary Diploma or Degree in the area of Sales/Business Management or other relevant education or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education;
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience successfully selling to government accounts and preparing RFPs;
  3. Clear understanding of government department structure, decision making and procurement processes including RFPs and Standing Offers;
  4. Excellent interpersonal, spoken and written communication skills in English. Ability to converse in French would be preferred.
  5. A demonstrated high level of enthusiasm in dealing with customers & co-workers;
  6. Commitment to superior customer service, with the ability to resolve issues/problems;
  7. Self-motivated with inherent high level of energy and initiative;
  8. Confident negotiator;
  9. Demonstrated success in promoting and achieving targets;
  10. Strong computer skills in database systems, word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail, and,
  11. The job requires a flexible approach to working hours. Some out-of-town travel will be required.

INSIDE SALES EXECUTIVES

To join our public sales team for our Ottawa, Ontario location. This assignment is a regular full-time (Monday – Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm) position.

Job Summary:
This position works under the general direction of the Vice-President of Public Sales; the Inside Sales Executive reports to the Inside Sales Manager on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for initiating and making outgoing sales telephone calls based on system generated leads to promote & sell Learning Tree courses. By using effective professional telephone sales techniques the Outbound Sales Executive not only enrolls individuals in our training courses but prospects training contacts and decision makers to develop accounts with government/private sector agencies. Telephone selling is the primary function of this position.

Job Summary:
Working within a call centre environment, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for effectively responding to incoming calls and enrolling or documenting the necessary information to complete the enrollment process. The CSR is also responsible for proactive solicitation of referrals, renewals, providing support to the outbound team and generating leads for the Outbound Team.

LEAD GENERATORS

To join our dynamic team for our Ottawa, Ontario location. This assignment is a one—year term, 35 hour work week assignment (Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30 pm)

Job Summary:
The Lead Generator will make outgoing calls to students from our database who have not taken a course in sometime and will look to uncover and pursue new training opportunities in order to generate a lead/referral for the Sales team for follow-up. The Lead Generator will also obtain, record/document and pass along all necessary information to the Sales Team from the customer to complete the potential lead. Additionally, the Lead Generator will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that internal and external customers consistently receive the highest levels of service.
