Which edition of SQL Server 2008 does this course feature?

This course covers many of the new features from SQL Server 2008. Many of the new features are available in the Enterprise Edition only.

What platform is used for the hands-on exercises?

This course uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 running on Windows Server 2008. In addition, there is a domain controller running Windows Server 2008.

I am migrating from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2008. Is this course useful for me?

This course covers features added to SQL Server after SQL Server 2005, and a knowledge of these features will be useful. However, there were many additions to the SQL Server product in SQL Server 2005. Those are not covered in this course, so you will have to do additional study to acquaint yourself with those features.
